Ludovic Boulard Le Fur invents the fetishes of a nameless myth. His drawings and installations suggest an ever-changing work/world. By constantly questioning the mediums he uses to bring this world to life (painting, drawing on paper, engraved wood, rubbing, bas-relief, sculpture, construction...), he becomes the archaeologist of a mysterious past, the roots of which could be found in his fascination for the devastated ruins of ancient civilisations, whether in American comics from the 70s or in the ancestral traditions of rural France.
Piles of rubble, abandoned titans, scarecrows, fragments of statues, warriors, hikers, street performers, rogues... All these outlandish figures are born and die in the intense landscapes that the artist continuously draws. To him, the state of ruin is not an end but a beginning. [...]
