“My work is both a question of balance and a way of understanding reality. There’s a delicate balance that’s silently worked on by an interplay of contradictory forces, verging on dispersion.
It’s all a question of immersion: an alliance between visual materials, images of the everyday and subtle moods, set in space like motifs in a monumental composition. My drawings are haunted by elements that agitate the senses, plunge them into experience, caress them, and manipulate disappearance to create space for them.
Through installations, drawings and videos, my work consists of capturing reality in its cultural and social aspects, in archetypal, generic or carnivalesque forms that examine historical and contemporary modes of representation.”
